WHAT IS PHOTOCATALYSIS?
Photocatalysis is the complete cycle of converting light energy into a chemical energy that’s transferred to water vapor to produce active oxygen species at the surface. Light energized titanium dioxide that attracts water and oxygen in the air, and splits this to form two powerful oxidizing species (hydroxyl radical OH- and Oxygen Hole O2-), that decomposes bacteria and viruses into harmless substances.
One of the most basic materials in our daily life, has emerged as an excellent photocatalyst material for environmental purification. It is because TiO₂ has the most efficient photoactivity, the highest stability and its guaranteed safety to humans and the environment.
